Hola

This picture is from early June- so it's pretty old- but I just came across it again and had a good laugh. Sometime while I am in meetings my co-workers entertain Marlo.  Or should I say Marlo entertains them?

Lil Drummer

I think Marlo learns something new everyday- today's trick was playing a drum.

Old pictures.

Every night before I go to bed I scan through a few pictures of Marlo.  Tonight Sean's out of town and I went deep into the archives.  I wanted to share a few that were taken before I really got into the swing of posting to the blog.

Happily snoozing with daddy.

A little skeptical.

Skinny Legs and All

Holy old man hair.

... And old man pants.

One of my all time favorite pics.
Remember when she used to sleep all the time?

Waving from her tent.

sweet dreams...

I love it when she yawns. So cute.

This picture is blurry but it's still a favorite.

She could fall asleep anywhere.

Anywhere.

(I'm not sure why the formatting on this post is so horrible. It really doesn't look so messed up in 'edit' mode.  Oh well... doesn't make the baby any less cute.)

Quick

Marlo's moving pretty quick now that she's been practicing her roll for a couple months.  If you turn your back for a split second she can make it across her play mat and the concrete floor to join the dust bunnies under the couch.

Happy Friday!

I know that the peekaboo videos are probably getting old but this one was so cute.  She is hiding behind her toy monkey.

Marlo does this silly little fake laugh. I don't know what to think about it, sometimes I feel like maybe she's mocking me. Anyway, it's pretty cute.

I worked the opening shift on the floor this morning at the Museum.  Marlo got to play in Rising Star Ranch (baby area) before we opened.  An entire 400 square feet full of baby toys all to herself and the only thing she wanted to play with was my name badge.

It's been so nice to bring Marlo to work with me.  I could not have imagined leaving her with anyone else when I had to go back- she was just 10 weeks old.  I am extremely grateful to my bosses, the Museum and all my co-workers who have accommodated us so graciously.  Starting next week Marlo is going to be working a little less.  Her good friend Cami (from work) will be taking her a couple days and soon her Mimi will be helping out too.  I am ready.  I would love to spend every day with her but I will be happy to get back to a more productive pace at work and know that she is getting all the attention she needs.

Sittin' Up

In the last week Marlo has made leaps and bounds in her efforts to sit up by herself.  She still has a few wobbles but is getting pretty stable- especially when she has a toy (or something as cool as a graduated cylinder) to hold onto and focus on.
Here are 2 videos. They are a little boring and long but I felt like duration was important for this milestone.  Anyone can sit up for a few seconds, but a couple minutes take endurance!

(In the first video you can also see that she's getting harder to trick and a little more demanding.  Sean tried to get away with hiding the graduated cylinder behind his back so she wouldn't grab for it but she wanted it and expressed that pretty adamantly.)
