Beach Trip 2015

Anyone that knows Louis knows that this is a rare occasion... fell asleep mid bite.

We saw a pirate ship (but opted to do the dolphin viewing charter)

We saw lots of dolphins on the tour- even some baby dolphins. Louis wants to pet one.

As part of the dolphin viewing ride they dropped a net and picked up some sea creatures to put in a shallow tank on board. This is one of the 2 sea horses Marlo got to hold.

Louis loves waves!  The day I took these videos he jumped and played for a solid 3 hours- took one break to reapply sunscreen.  The next day we bought a boogie board and with a little help getting his timing he caught some nice waves. I think he's found his sport.  How old do you have to be to enroll in surf camp?

A highlight of the trip: There was a gentleman fishing near us at the beach and he caught 2 sharks! One was a 22 inch long hammer head and the other was a 12 inch long black tip.  He brought them into shore and the kids got to see them up close. Marlo got to pet both of them! She is so brave.  I was delighted that they got to have the experience and also very happy to have the shark encounter on the last day at the beach. It was a little unsettling to be in the water after that. The fisherman caught them near where we were swimming- he was standing in chest deep water (about 30 feet from where Louis was boogie boarding) and casting his line out to sea.
